About the Event

REGISTRATION OPENS JULY 2!

Let's make Tofu together!

Now that you've made soymilk, you are ready to graduate to Tofu! Did you know that tofu is surprisingly easy to make?  Much like its main ingredient soymilk, it simply requires your attention, presence and a bit of patience.

Join Adrian for another relaxing "Soybeans are Soulfood" class as we learn to make tofu the traditional way from the comfort of your own kitchen.  After, Adrian will teach you how to make Sundubu Jjigae, a classic Korean tofu stew.

Essential Equipment and Ingredients:

1) Food Grade Gypsum Powder or Nigari (liquid or crystals)

2) Tofu Press: We recommended you use a traditional wooden tofu mold.  Ours was made by Chris and is approximately 6x6x4 inches however any wooden mould around these dimension will work.  Here are some examples:

You can also use an old 14-16oz plastic tofu container from the supermarket or forgo a mould completely although Adrian will not demo the latter.

PLEASE CHECK YOUR SPAM FOR CONFIRMATION EMAILS FROM NOTIFICATIONS@WIXEVENTS.COM AND CONTACT@MORI.HOUSE IF THEY DON'T COME UP IN YOUR INBOX.
